Aquarium
Carved Wall Unit Reef
Private Residence
A reef aquarium set into the center of a carved wood wall unit, flanked by open shelving and closed cabinetry.
The tank sits at eye level in the middle bay, framed by the millwork like a painting, under a crystal chandelier and a coffered ceiling. Warm wood, terracotta walls and the blue of the reef balance one another across the room.
Built into the cabinetry rather than placed in front of it, the aquarium reads as part of the furniture.
