Marble Plinth Reef
Private Residence
A reef aquarium is set into a white marble plinth beneath a floating cabinetry volume in this contemporary residence.
Open on several sides, the tank can be enjoyed from across the room, with live rock and corals forming a low, panoramic reef under strong blue lighting. The marble base and minimal cabinetry above frame the aquarium cleanly, and all equipment stays concealed.
The result is a sculptural, modern installation where the reef reads as part of the furniture and part of the architecture.
