Aquarium
Rector Place Residential Lobby
333 Rector Pl, NYC

This reef aquarium was designed as a high-impact amenity feature for a luxury condo lobby—an installation that immediately elevates the space and reinforces a premium first impression.
Built seamlessly into dark, modern millwork, the tank reads like a glowing, living art panel. The crisp blue reef lighting adds depth and ambience to the corridor, balancing the rich wall finishes and stone flooring while guiding residents and guests through the lobby with a calm, upscale atmosphere.
Inside, the reef-scape is sculptural and intentional, with live rock and corals creating strong composition and constant motion from reef fish. With filtration and equipment concealed within the cabinetry, the presentation stays clean, quiet, and architectural—ideal for a high-traffic, design-forward setting.
From a value standpoint, this type of feature functions like “biophilic luxury”: it enhances the resident experience, differentiates the building from competing properties, and strengthens leasing and resale appeal by turning a transitional lobby area into a memorable destination moment.
