Rustic Kitchen Reef
Private Residence, Franklin Lakes, NJ
In this rustic kitchen, a reef aquarium is built into reclaimed-wood cabinetry beside a stone-arched grill.
The tank sits within a freestanding wood column visible from the kitchen, the breakfast table and the bar seating, bringing cool blue light into a room of warm timber and stone. Live rock and corals make a bright, lively reef against the rustic palette.
The contrast is the point: a natural, crafted kitchen with a living reef at its center.
