We designed this koi pond beneath a floating wood staircase for a marketing firm's office in Midtown Manhattan.
The pond fills the space under the stairs with moving water and koi, turning an often-wasted corner into the focal point of the office. Glass balustrades and open treads let employees and visitors see the fish from every level.
With clean, filtered water and proper care, koi can live for decades, so the pond is built to be a lasting part of the workplace.
