Zebrawood Discus Aquarium
Discus, Freshwater
A discus aquarium is set into a zebrawood peninsula cabinet in this tall, light-filled lounge.
The bold grain of the cabinetry gives the tank a furniture-like presence in the room, and the display can be enjoyed from both sides. Inside, red and blue discus move slowly through sculptural driftwood over a pale sand bed, a calm, almost painterly composition.
In a gathering space with traditional furnishings, the aquarium brings color and gentle motion that draws people in and invites them to stay.
