Okeanos Is Going National: What This Means for Our Clients

For more than two decades, Okeanos Group has been New York's premier aquarium design firm. We are now serving clients nationwide — and here is what that means in practice.

Okeanos Is Going National

For twenty-plus years, Okeanos Group built its reputation in New York City and the surrounding tri-state area — Manhattan penthouses, New Jersey estates, Long Island waterfront properties, and the full range of commercial spaces that make New York one of the world's most demanding design markets. We also completed international projects in London, Dubai, Miami, and elsewhere when the right clients found us.

In 2025, we made the decision to formalize what had been happening organically: we are now actively serving clients nationwide, and we have built the operational infrastructure to do it reliably.

What Has Changed

The expansion is not just a marketing decision — it reflects genuine operational changes in how we mobilize for out-of-market projects. We have developed a standardized process for remote design consultation, technical specification delivery, and coordinated installation with local contractors that allows us to bring the Okeanos standard to projects anywhere in the country.

For installation, we typically send our lead design and technical staff for the critical phases — concept finalization, equipment commissioning, aquascape design, and livestock introduction — while coordinating with trusted local contractors for the plumbing and electrical rough-in work. This hybrid approach maintains quality control on the elements that matter most while keeping project costs reasonable for out-of-New York clients.

For Maintenance Clients Outside New York

For ongoing maintenance, we offer quarterly or semi-annual deep-service visits for clients in markets where we do not have a local service route. These visits cover comprehensive system assessment, equipment servicing, aquascape maintenance, and livestock evaluation — supplemented by remote monitoring systems that alert us to any issues between visits.

For clients in markets where we are actively building service routes — Los Angeles, Miami, and several others — we are in the process of establishing regular maintenance programs similar to our New York operation. If you are in one of these markets and interested in service, contact us now — we are actively building out these routes.

How to Start

The process for a national client is identical to our New York process: a conversation about your project, a site consultation (virtual or in-person), and a written proposal. Call us at 212-244-9555 or visit okeanosgroup.com.
