Luxury Aquarium
Design
An Okeanos aquarium is not purchased. It is commissioned. Each installation begins as a blank canvas — a collaboration between our designers, your architect, and your vision — and ends as something that has never existed before.
Since 2002, we have designed and built aquariums for some of the world's most discerning private clients and landmark commercial properties. Our work appears in penthouses from Manhattan to Dubai, in five-star hotel lobbies, in the homes of collectors, and in spaces where the aquarium is the undisputed focal point of everything else.
Commission a DesignThe Design Approach
Six pillars that define every Okeanos design project.
Concept & Vision
Every project begins with a conversation about space, light, lifestyle, and ambition. We translate your vision into a design concept that works architecturally, ecologically, and aesthetically.
Material Selection
Low-iron ultrawhite glass or optically clear acrylic. Custom cabinetry in lacquer, veneer, or stone. Every surface material specified for the marine environment and your design palette.
Aquascape Design
Our aquascapers design the rockwork, coral placement, and plant life with the same intention a landscape architect brings to a garden. The aquascape is the artwork.
Lighting Architecture
LED systems tuned to replicate natural reef lighting cycles, enhance livestock coloration, and integrate with architectural lighting design. Programmable dawn-to-dusk sequences.
Species Curation
We select livestock for beauty, compatibility, and longevity. Every species is sourced from trusted suppliers, quarantined, and introduced with precision.
Ongoing Care
The design is maintained through our dedicated service program — bi-weekly visits, chemistry management, aquascape grooming, and livestock monitoring.
